Olive Oil

The Koroneiki olive variety

  • The Koroneiki olive variety is the most common variety in Greece, seeing as it corresponds to 50 – 60% of the total production and is also the most well-known olive variety in Crete.
  • This type of olive is also known as “ladolia”, “lianolia”, or “psilolia”. In fact, in other parts of Greece, you can hear it being referred to as the “Cretan” olive.
  • The fruit of the Koroneiki olive tree is small and can weigh up to 1 gram. This variety can grow even in barren stony soil.
  • The oil of the Koroneiki olive tree is of exceptional quality, with an intense aroma, rich texture and vibrant color. It is characterized by its strong and full flavor, and its spicy and sumptuous aftertaste.

For these reasons, we have chosen to provide you with extra virgin olive oil exclusively made from Koroneiki Cretan olives.
